Hurricane Season or Fall?

Down here in Hurricane alley we are all breathing a sigh of relief over Hanna. She has a mind of her own, Tropical storm to Hurricane and back twice again, she is allegedly skirting the coast of Florida.

Our fall shipments are arriving at the same time so we keep our minds busy on the new product.

Thankfully we just received Fall 08 Trina Turk. Chic and sophisticated is the name of the game the first quarter of our season. Simple and easy just as well.

Take a whirl and shop the newest of our favorite Lady next to Lilly! TRINA TRUK on CORRICO.COM
This dress called the Origami Dress has a scoop back and is eye popping with the exact balance of jewel toned pattern.

Swimming Lessons

This past weekend Casey,Kathie and myself took off to Miami for a night of googling at scantily clad models walking the walk at the Tibi Swimsuit Fashion Show.

Yes we will be carrying the line. Yes, it is amazing. It will be in the stores November 15, 2008 for Resort wear.

We dined at Devitos... more like a good ole pig out, but we will go with dined. The next day we spent at the Swim Show. We should basically change the name of our store to Tunics R Us. Tunics everywhere. Is there an easier item on the planet? We also saw Trina Turks Swim Line. Can you say A M A Z I N G!!! OK so the store next season will rival Swim n Sport. We will just call our new location C. Orrico Swim...

PB LOVES TRINA!!!!

It was Palm Springs meets Palm Beach when fresh, fun-loving Trina Turk arrived at C. Orrico this weekend -- and the response was unbelievable!!!! We had so many of favorite customers, as well as first-timers in the store to meet the woman who's palette is retro-fresh and whose designs are effortless, yet playfully sophisticated that the designer who came in unsure of what to expect went home almost speechless!
Over 300 people Saturday afternoon made for a welcoming committee like only Palm Beach could bestow. We were honored to share Trina with our friends, and we were thrilled that you all made her so welcome. Because if Palm Beach has the desert, the mineral springs and the classic movie star glamour, we have the lush tropical jungles, killer fountains -- and YOU!

Having sold almost al the Trina Turk for spring in stock -- and it was fabulous -- we're getting more in. So don't fret if your size is missing, we're trying to reload.... and take comfort, too, in how amazing the summer is. Trina brought samples, and if you didn't see, you can go on faith: it may be her best collection yet! Turquoise, cerulean, mango, verdant greens...

TRINA TURK COMES TO C. ORRICO MARCH 22!!

Her influences are Nancy Drew, "That Girl" with Marlo Thomas and Mary Tyler Moore. Her favorite First Lady was -- natch! -- Jackie Kennedy. AND she learned to do all those great prints during a tenure at surfwear valhalla Ocean Pacific (OP to those who know). So, of course Trina Turk is a total kind of C. Orrico girl.
And in that mode of birds of feather -- or islandcentric sartorial drift -- stick together, Trina will leave her Palm Springs haven and come to Palm Beach for one afternoon of trunk show preview for her citrus, sea-worthy and hyrdolic sunset palette Summer 2008 collection! From 2-4, the woman who understands the glamour of laidback chic will show off her convertible tunic top/mini dresses, shimmering sundresses, a strappy slip dresses in a bargello flame stitch variation and 60s mod Bamboo Forest cotton play dress -- and talk about the overlap between the Springs and the Beach of Palm.

It is one of those moments where creator and creatures converge to celebrate the playful, the pretty, the perfect little outfit that takes you from play date to dinner with one's mate. With that sense of sexy without trying, Trina Turk has long been a staple at tony Barney's NY, LA's tres trendy Fred Segal and our own C. Orrico, where Palm Beach Comes To Play!
