SUNFEST here already?


Don't miss out on the excitement at SunFest, Florida's largest music, art and waterfront festival now celebrating its 26th anniversary. This five-day award-winning event takes place annually along the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway in downtown West Palm Beach and features concerts by national recording artists, regional groups and local bands on three main stages; delicious festival foods and beverages at multiple food courts; fun kids stuff, an arts and crafts show featuring more than 165 artists; three floating waterfront barges; and one of the East Coast's largest fireworks displays. New to the SunFest line-up this year is New Music Night at SunFest on Thursday, May 1 featuring 15 bands performing in one night.
This year's huge headliners include three-time Grammy award-winner Sheryl Crow; five-time Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter John Legend; Fergie, solo artist and lead singer of hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas; The Black Crowes, performing a mix of rock, blues, country, gospel and soul; Jewish reggae-rapper Matisyahu; pop singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield; hip-hop/Latin group Ozomatli; ska and hard-core punk band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones; Grammy award-winning reggae band Steel Pulse; punk rock group Hellogoodbye; five-time Grammy award-winning reggae artist Stephen Marley; rock, indie and emo band The Academy Is; "father of funk" George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic; contemporary Irish group The Tossers; poet/musician Michael Franti & Spearhead performing hip-hop, funk and reggae; Little Featuring offering California rock and Dixie inflected funk boogie; acoustic and electric blues band Hot Tuna; contemporary smooth jazz group The Rippingtons; Classic Albums Live, a Canadian classic rock tribute band; Australian rock group Little River Band; soul, jazz, and pop saxophonist Mindi Abair; and funk/dance ensemble band Morris Day & the Time.
The 15 bands featured in New Music Night at SunFest include world-famous band Good Charlotte; Finger Eleven, a rock, country, dance and funk band originating from Ontario, Canada; Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Rue Melo, Carney, Cerveza, The Blakes, Postmarks, The Whigs, The Drive Home, Chris McCarty, Landon Pigg, Gabe Dixon Band, Powerspace and The Secret Handshake.
